Dr. Bhavjot K. Nanda is a dedicated and compassionate optometrist and a Bay Area native, pleased to serve the community where she grew up.
She completed both her undergraduate degree in Public Health and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
Her clinical training included rotations at VA Palo Alto, Bay Area Community Health, VA San Jose, UCSF Berkeley Outpatient Center, and Baywell Health Center.
After receiving her doctorate degree, Dr. Nanda pursued residency training in ocular disease, geriatric optometry, and low vision rehabilitation at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Through her residency, Dr. Nanda gained expertise in caring for patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, dry eyes and other ocular conditions. She also completed specialty contact lens fittings and helped patients with low vision to maximize their sight through personalized low vision care.
Dr. Nanda is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care for individuals with both routine and complex visual needs.
She takes time to understand each patient's needs and provides the highest standard of care for every patient. Dr. Nanda also values evidence-based optometry and continuing education. She has given various lectures and presented case reports at national conferences and keeps up to date with the latest research, clinical guidelines, and advancements in eye care.
